The ELT Method formal coaching offers one-on-one Training and Nutrition or Nutrition only options, and we’re happy to help you find the right fit for you. All coaching options are customized to you and your goals and include private check-ins and unlimited email support. Coaching is geared towards women who have experience in the weight room. This allows clients the safest environment for coaching and also allows us to make the most of our time together. You can sign up with the coach of your choice after reading their bios below, but if you're not sure who you'd like to work with or who would be the best fit for you, please select "no preference" and we'll pair you. You can pick the coaching option and duration and sign up using the buttons below. Once you complete your payment, you'll be prompted to activate your profile in our private portal, where you'll fill out additional information about yourself in order for you to begin your coaching relationship.
We do ask that you read and understand what coaching with the ELT Method team looks like before you sign up, as we do not offer refunds for coaching. Coaching is not provided via a phone app. Our private portal is web-based.
We also encourage a coaching relationship that spans longer than one month, and so we we ask that you make a 3-month minimum commitment, even if paying monthly. If you intend only to sign up for one month, we encourage our custom consults instead.

Nutrition Only is a 1-on-1 coaching option. With this, an ELT Method Coach oversees all aspects of your nutrition. Experience with tracking calories and macronutrients is not required. Emphasis will be placed on eating behaviors and other lifestyle habits that will help improve your overall nutrition, and calories/macronutrients will be assigned on a case-by-case basis. This option is great for those of you who have a solid exercise program in place but need the extra accountability of a coach to dial in your nutrition and other lifestyle behaviors.
With this 1-on-1 coaching option, an ELT Method coach oversees all aspects of your training and nutrition. You will have a detailed workout plan complete with dynamic warm-ups, a sample weekly schedule, and exercise demos. Your customized program will be designed to suit your time restrictions, equipment availability, exercise preferences, and fitness goal, while also working around any injury limitations you may have. Coaching clients must be familiar with compound lifts and have access to a commercial gym or well-equipped home gym that has a barbell, plates, variety of dumbbells, mini-bands, long bands, and an adjustable bench. I started working out about 5 years ago, but like many other people who've never invested in a coach, I was lost in the common myths of exercise and nutrition. Through ELT Method coaching, I learned that it's okay to not feel like death after every workout, and to be smart about the exercises you're performing. Sohee Lee is the founder and head coach at SoheeFit Systems, LLC. Sohee has been coaching in the virtual realm since 2012 and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She offers multiple online fitness services and is the author of 2017's Eat.Lift.Thrive along with her multiple e-books. She has a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University and an M.S. in Psychology from Arizona State University. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association with Distinction (NSCA-CSCS,*D). Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in sports science through the distance program at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and is serving as the Fitness Advisor for Women's Health magazine. Her methods are evidence-based and her focus is on achieving sustainable results with her clients while allowing them to live their everyday life as well as educating the general public on fitness-related research. Rachel Pendakur grew up near Portland, Oregon, but has lived in San Diego since 2010. She holds a B.A. in Psychology as well as a B.A. in Music, and is currently working toward her M.A. in Psychological Science. Rachel came to love strength training during her high school years. During her college years, she neglected proper training until an injury prompted her to seek out professional help with rehabilitation. The process of recovering from an injury, as well as improving form to prevent future problems, re-ignited her love of training and prompted her to continue learning. Since her Masters program began, her research areas of interest have centered heavily on health psychology as well as habit formation and methods of increasing adherence. She is passionate about educating and partnering with individuals who want to reach and sustain their goals. Rachel jumped at the chance to work with Sohee as an in-person training client in the Spring of 2018, and has since consistently enjoyed the style of training that is integral to the ELT Method. She not only has greatly benefitted from Sohee’s mentorship, but has also has seen a huge amount of training progress using an approach focused on moderation and sustainability. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CSCS). During her free time, she runs a private piano studio where she uses her classical performance background to train children and adults of all ages. Tara Hux is an Ohio native, with a competitive soccer background. Her spark for sports & fitness began at age 10 when she joined her first soccer team. It was through soccer that Tara was introduced to strength training and found a passion for it. She has suffered multiple knee injuries, which sparked her interest in creating safe and effective strength training programs. In addition to strength training, Tara also has a passion for nutrition education. After struggling with eating disorders, negative body image, and confidence issues for years, she now has a healthy relationship with food and fitness. She has made it her mission to help others achieve this too. While fitness is Tara's passion, her first love was a career in nursing, working for 6 years as a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit.
