How to Take Body Circumference Measurements

In today’s video, I walk you through how to take body circumference measurements.

This is an important skill to have, especially when it comes to tracking your fitness progress (for fat loss or muscle gain).

You’ll see here that I’m using a flexible tape measurer and tracking in five different places. I have the MyoTape Body Tape Measure, though just about any flexible measurer will do.

What’s most important is that you are consistent with not only how you’re taking measurements, but also when.

    Awesome instructional video! I have been using a regular flexible tape with my clients, but as you said, it is easy to cheat a little bit to get a smaller measurement. I have had a Myotype for awhile but did not know how to use it correctly as it came with no instructions. And I could never figure out how why the tape started at 1 3/4… Guess I should I googled the instructions. For now on I am going to be using the Myotape to get more accurate measurements with my clients. Thanks Sohee! 🙂
