Sohee’s Fall Favorites

The past several months have been absolutely wild.

I feel like I’ve been away more days than I’ve been home, having traveled the world for some exciting business opportunities, including a speaking engagement in Spain and an incredible 10-day trip to Germany for a new partnership with Adidas. It’s been incredibly fulfilling with no shortage of memorable experiences and new connections with likeminded fitness friends.

Now that things are starting to slow down a bit, I finally have a chance to catch my breath and reflect. I’m excited to share a few of my fall favorites with you — things that have brought me joy and comfort during this busy season.

Let’s dive into what’s been keeping me inspired this autumn!

  1. Protein4Oats

Now that the weather is getting cooler, I’ve been eating oatmeal almost daily. It’s the perfect warm and cozy breakfast and a fantastic carbohydrate source that keeps me full and energized for those longer, tougher runs where I’m hitting the pavement for multiple hours.

To boost the protein content of my oatmeal, I often add Protein4Oats from PEScience. It’s a powdered protein supplement specifically designed to be mixed into oatmeal and blends extremely well – no chunks! Each serving contains about 20 grams of a high-quality protein blend of whey and casein, which offers a nice balance of fast and slow-digesting proteins. My current favorite flavors are Peanut Butter & Honey, Maple Brown Sugar, and Apple Cinnamon.

(Of course, it’s totally fine to have oatmeal on its own without having to add protein powder. But it can be helpful when you’re looking for that protein boost!)

  1. My new favorite movie

I recently watched the movie CODA, and I’m not ashamed in the slightest to admit I sobbed several times. It’s been forever since I’ve seen something so heartwarming, and Ben can confirm that tears were flowing. The way the film captured the dynamics of a Deaf family (CODA is shorthand for Children of Deaf Adults) and the daughter’s journey of finding her own voice was incredibly moving. The performances were fantastic and the emotions felt so genuine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a film that’s both uplifting and deeply emotional. PSA: Have a box of tissues handy just in case.

  1. Salted honey butter rolls

I made the most delicious Salted Honey Butter Rolls for Friendsgiving this year, and they were a huge hit. I actually used the same recipe from A Cozy Kitchen as last year because everyone loved them so much!

They’re truly the fluffiest rolls with the perfect balance of sweet and salty, thanks to the combo of honey and flaky sea salt.

Also, as intimidated as I normally am by recipes that require yeast, I’d say the steps for this one were truly very doable.

As 2024 winds down and the holiday season begins, I’m grateful for the cozy moments that these favorites have brought me. It’s been a busy year, and I’m excited to slow down and savor the season with family and friends. I hope you get to do the same!

And if you give any of my fall favorites a try, I’d love to hear about it! Feel free to tag me on social media @soheefit and let me know what you think!
